MGMT's new video for "Kids"

Apparently MGMT has come out with a new video for the song "Kids." I guess it's the OFFICIAL video. This one is even weirder than the first. While watching I feel very uncomfortable and sorry for the child in this. It's gotta be traumatizing for life. I'm pretty sure he's legitimately scared shitless. I know I would be. Sheesh, creepy weird. Well, enjoy!

Futuristic cars of today

Remember those old episodes of Looney Tunes with the Cars of the future? One had a compartment waaaay in the back for that naggy mother-in-law. Well, here are some really cool vehicles that appear to be from the future.

Code X Yacht - This comes complete with touch screen control, a Kevlar/carbon shell with phototropic-shaded screens and windows and a GPS-controlled virtual anchor system that utilises the electric motors to maintain a stationary position regardless of wind or currents.:

Samsom Motorworks Switchblade - How awesomely funny would it be to drive past one of these on the highway, then it just decide to capriciously take off out of nowhere? On the ground it can reach speed of 90 mph on wheels and 134 mph when airborne. It can also travel 880 miles on ground and 340 miles in the air. The Switchblade is supposed to become FAA certified and available in early 2010.

2009 Fornasari Buggy - This is build out of special steel piping chassis in molybdenum-chrome with 450 pipes running across to maintain the stiffness and torsion, while weighing just 150kgs. Zero to 62mph in just 3.8 seconds, topping out at 174mph.

Hybrid Seven Roadster - Where are the cushioned seats? And what about the dashboard!? Who knows, who cares. Created by designer Eric Stoddard, the roadster is made of structural foam panels, sandwiched between layers of carbon fiber, with a projected weight under 450kg.

And finally, check out this sweet concept, the CarGo by designer Adam Schacter. It goes from "Smart car" to mini-truck. So cool.

...But where are the flying cars? I was promised flying cars...

Letterman v. Palin: Round 1

Apparently David Letterman the other night had made some off-handed jokes about Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin and her daughters while visiting New York City. The Governor got very upset and had some comments in response. Check out the hilarious (two-faced maybe?) retort given by the Ball State Alum. Chirp Chirp!

"Am I guilty of poor taste? Yes.
Did I suggest that it was ok for her 14 year old daughter to be having promiscuous sex? No. *Smiles*"

Throwback Thursday: Space Jam

I recently Netflixed this one. It's His Airness himself, Michael Jordan, and Bugs Bunny in, "Space Jam." Ha, Charles Barkley lost his talent.

No longer citizens

Are things really so bad these days that we, the collective, it's citizens of the world, are now referred to not as people, but as "the internet?" (And sadness dominates? What?)

Your own personal ghost trap!

Ok, so we all know how much I love the Ghostbusters. Well, check these out. They've decided to make console skins for the Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 to coincide wit the 25th anniversay and all the fun GB stuff. I want em! (Check out the cool new side widget too).

Kill Bill, Killed...RIP David Carradine

Omg, upon waking up this morning, I just found out David Carradine has passed away. Apparently the actor from "Kung Fu" (actually beating out Bruce Lee for the role) and "Kill Bill" was shooting a movie in Bangkok and was found hanged with the cord from the curtains in his hotel room, resulting in potential suicide. There was no sign he was assaulted.

"There isn't anything that Anthony Hopkins or Clint Eastwood or Sean Connery or any of those old guys are doing that I couldn't do," he said. "All that was ever required was somebody with Quentin's courage to take and put me in the spotlight."

They're a Ramblin Band

Here's a cool new band my friend introduced me to last week. They're "Lemon Jelly." I'm not too sure who I'd compare them too. There's a little bit of everything about them that I like. Kinda trippy, kinda trendy, and all around neato. Just check it out.
