Wax and Wane

This definitely makes it into the big book of cool...Improv video called "Wax and Wane" by Reggie Watts.

Ok, update, this guy is hip as hell. I love how he beatboxes, records it, loops it, then sings over it on the fly!

Yoshida Brothers

If you've seen the Nintendo Wii commercials then you've heard the Japanese band, the Yoshida Brothers. The duo uses the ancient Japanese guitar called the shamisen and combines old school with new school. It's a really sweet mix. If you like groups such as Kodo, then you'll love these guys.

Puzzle Presentation with Scott Kim

Wow, I just watched a twelve minute presentation on puzzles...that's right, puzzles. Check it out, it's awesomely interesting, featuring puzzle designer Scott Kim.

Phoenix "A Take Away Show"

Phoenix is a really cool new band that I thought I had posted about before but somehow forgot slipped through the cracks. Regardless, I'm doing it now and you all should know about them if you don't already. The group did a cool project for "La Blogotheque" called "A Take Away Show" where they perform randomly at various locations for unprepared audiences. It's really cool. I usually don't like acoustic versions of my fave songs, but in this case, it works for me. Here are a few clips from it.
