Spike Jonze: Fatboy Slim

It's Tuesday and that means it's time for another facet of Spike Jonze. This feature is of him as a director of music videos, today's being for Fatboy Slim.

Fatboy Slim - Weapon of Choice (ft. Christopher Walken):

Jonze has an alter ego named Richard Koufey who is a leader of the dance troupe Torrance Community Dance Group. He recorded this video where he was dancing to Fatboy Slim's "Rockafeller Skank.":

Fatboy Slim liked it so much he had him create this to be used for the actual music video for "Praise You.":

(I too love dancing like a fool).

Let the Wild Rumpus Start! A Tribute to Spike Jonze

We all know and love Spike Jonze (and if you don't, then there is no hope for you). Director, actor, and dancer extraordinaire, creating anything from commercials, to music videos, to documentaries and feature films; each of his works exude creative excellence. I'd like to tribute this week in his honor showcasing some of his projects. This Friday, "Where the Wild Things Are" debuts which is almost undoubtedly the most highly anticipated movie of all time, working closely with author Maurice Sendak for the past decade creating this masterpiece. To begin the week, here are some videos for WTWTA. So, let the wild rumpus start!

Royksopp - "this must be it"

Here's is a weird little video for Royksopp's "This must be it" about a tribe of strange drummer aboriginals or something. Just watch. (Also, I REALLY want a drum buggy...he looks so free!).

The Fray - "Heartless"

Check out this really cool video for The Fray's cover of Kanye West's "Heartless." (Personally I like this version better):

Hilarious end credits

This is a hilarious music video for Justice's remix of Lenny Kravitz's "Let Love Rule." Initially I thought it was stupid, but, stick with it, you'll see.

Ella ja Aleksi

Check out this cute music video for the Finnish child duo Ella ja Aleksi. Apparently their first album Lenni Lokinpoikanen (Lenni the Baby Seagull) went platinum in 2004 selling over 30,000 copies and was in the top four for four weeks.
