Ever wanted your own lightsaber? Well, I'm a nerd, so yes, I have. Well this 20 minute video shows you how to make an exact replica of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader's lightsabers...out of nothing but a flash camera hilt (flash gun) and windshield wipers, that's right. Amazing, I never knew! It also shows you how to make Obi Wan's, out of a sink drain!?!? The real one was made with that, and a hand grenade. This is just crazy. Watch the video if you have a little free time and be amazed. I was.
Felix da Housecat is next on the list. This house DJ is straight out of Chicago. His sound is not as heavy and a bit more mellow. Great beats and awesome chillaxin music.
Here's the next wave of Electroclash for you. It's MSTRKRFT (pronounced "Master-craft"). They are a duo out of Canada who do not only their own works, but a lot of really cool remixes of other really cool songs. They team up with a lot of other great musicians too, adding their own spin of electrotunes to their vocals.
I've just recently learned the name of the genre for some of the music I like. It's called Electroclash, and combines new wave with dance music (so lots of synth). Think bands like Felix da Housecat and Freezepop. This week will be Electroclash week where I'll try to bring you a different band within the category. First off is autoKratz. More great music from the UK.
Wow, seems I've gotten busy and I haven't posted in a while. Sorry about that. Here is a band that somehow go away from me just as time has. It's VHS or Beta. Nothing new to the music scene, but maybe new to some of you. Still good music. They have a killer 80's sound, along the lines of Depeche Mode and Duran Duran. Check em out:
